Objectives
Song-writing, acoustic guitar, vocal harmony. I’m seeking collaborators and opportunities for song-writing and performance in the Nashville area. My strengths are in contemporary country music, pop music, and light rock. I’m an active song-writer, both music and lyrics, with an emphasis on musical composition. I primarily play acoustic guitar, rhythm guitar, and provide vocal harmony.
I’m also seeking opportunities to continue providing music instruction in guitar, banjo, or mandolin.
Professional Experience
- 2005: The Magnolia Lobby of the Opryland Hotel, Nashville, Tennesse. Acoustic guitar, lead vocals, and vocal harmony with Carrie Glenn, playing a mix of jazz, pop music, and celtic.
- 2002-2005: Band leader for Blue Moon. Blue Moon is the backup group for country music singer Lisa Kolarich. Served as band leader, playing acoustic rhythm guitar, singing vocal harmony, and lead vocals on some numbers. Played a variety of night clubs and other venues in California for audiences up to 300 people, and toured as a duo with Lisa in Virginia in Spring 2005.* 2002: Toured with Mark Weigle, including the Chicago Halstead Street Fair and venues in San Diego.
- 1999 – 2005: Guitar and banjo instructor for beginning and intermediate musicians.
- 1987: Winner of the SweetWater Inn Song-Writing Contest in Mill Valley,California, for the song “Blue Midnight”.
- 1984 – 1994: Rhythm and bass guitar with Travis Cale.
- 1983: Western states tour with Travis Cale, playing rhythm and bass guitar, playing classic rock doing covers and original material.
- 1981 – 1983: Guitar and vocals with Freefall.
- 1979 – 1981: Guitar, banjo, bass guitar and vocals with Sierra.
